FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. TUESDAY 1ST

  • Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His Name for His sustaining Grace and mercy on EMS/ECWA, and Nigeria as a nation these past nine months. Worship Him for lunching Nigeria into its 59th year of independence.

WEDNESDAY 2ND

  • Give thanks to the Lord for the success of Programs held in the month of September by EMS missionaries in various mission Fields across the country and abroad. Worship Him for the bountiful Harvest of Souls recorded through these Programs.

THURSDAY 3RD

  • Praise God for the safe resumption of all EMS children and mission field schools’ pupils and students with the staff to school for the 2019/2020 academic session.

FRIDAY 4TH
EMS CITY MINISTRY

  • We praise God for His provision which enabled us to give out over 80 bags of Maize, Rice, Beans and 200 Blanket to Widows in Miango and City of refuge along with some money respectively, 4 foreign wheelchairs, 3 walking stick and 1 Crutches to some physically challenge person.

SATURDAY 5TH

  • Praise God for saving the lives of our missionary Rev. Paul J. Ishaya and his family, EMS Coordinator New Karu DCC. He was attacked by arm robbers in his residence at the DCC office compound in New Karu. They succeeded in taken away some money and injured him and his wife during the attack. Pray for quick recovering.

SUNDAY 6TH

  • As EMS Sunday is been observed today nationwide, pray that the hearts of all ECWA sons and daughters be steered to give generously towards the propagation of the gospel of Christ through EMS and that all church leaders and Pastors will be not hold back any collection that is meant for this purpose.

MONDAY 7TH
EMS ADMINISTRATIVE HEAD OFFICE

  • Ask that God will grant satisfaction and joy to all EMS workers in the performance of their duties this month.

TUESDAY 8TH
EMS BOARD MEMBERS

  • Praise God for the servant heart of EMS BOARD MEMBERS. Ask that He keep them from losing heart when ministry demands gets tough. Ask that the Holy Spirit reveal the Father’s heart as regards His will for EMS during their tenure to enable them advice EMS rightly.

WEDNESDAY 9TH
EMS SUPPORTERS

  • Ask the Lord to grant healing to all EMS supporters at every level who are currently having health challenge. Pray that the Lord will increase upon all supporters the perseverance to stay committed to praying and giving for the work of missions and that God bless the work of their hands and families.

THURSDAY 10TH
ECWA EXECUTIVES (EE)

  • Ask the Lord to continuously burden ECWA executives to sustain a consistent revival among ECWA members towards living worthy of Emulation.

FRIDAY 11TH
ECWA MINISTERS/STAKEHOLDERS

Pray that ECWA ministers and stakeholders at every leadership level will wholeheartedly give their attention to prayer and ministry of the Word. Ask that God should keep them above reproach, devoted to their families, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable and able to teach. Pray that they be gentle and honest as they deal with people daily.

SATURDAY 12TH
MID-EAST REGION-LAFIA DCC

  • Praise God for the sixty-four (64) new converts and 4,472 people witness to in this region last month, pray for their spiritual growth.
  • Pray that God should raise indigenous EMS missionaries in Benue state. Also, pray for ECWA churches, most especially EMS stations in the Idoma/Igede axes, for Gods sustaining grace and provision for Church’s lands and buildings.

WEEK THREE – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
“And now, Lord… grant that your bond-servants may speak your word with all confidence.”

SUNDAY 13TH
EMS TRAVEL UNIT

  • Ask the Lord to guide and protect EMS drivers from accidents and keep them free from harm of any sort on their journeys this last quarter of the year. Pray that He would support them with His grace when they are tired, and also help them to be patient in any trouble which may come their way. Ask that He keep them always mindful of His presence and love.

MONDAY 14TH
FAR NORTH WEST REGION

  • Praise God for blessing the family of our missionary Past & Mrs. Ya’u Ali with a baby girl on the 27/8/2019; ask the Lord to grant parental grace to the parent they will raise this child as the Lord wills.
  • Let’s not relent in praying for the safety of our missionaries in this region, because of the constant attacks my herdsmen, some of our missionaries are force out of their stations as a result of all these.

TUESDAY 15TH
EMS MISSIONARIES GENERALLY

  • Pray for God’s strength and comfort for EMS missionaries whose family members are in serious tragedies recent.
  • Pray for a hedge of God’s protection around EMS missionaries serving in difficult and sensitive parts of the world.

WEDNESDAY 16TH
NORTH EAST REGION

  • Let’s pray that the Lord will grand healing to Mrs. Kindiga Peter, Rev. Hussaini Elisha wife and other missionaries’ family members that might be facing one form of ailment or the other.

THURSDAY 17TH
FAR NORT REGION-KATSINA

  • Praise God for the 21 new converts in this region this month. Pray for their spiritual growth, also pray that our churches will take up their responsibility of nurturing the new convert that are being added to the kingdom of God.
  • Let’s not relent in praying for the safety of missionaries amidst the recurrent activities of Jihadist kidnapers especially in this region.

FRIDAY 18th
CITY MINISTRY OF EMS

  • Pray for CME as plans are ongoing for the renovation of the boys’ center that would be converted into women center for God’s provision and direction.

SATURDAY 19TH
MISSIONARY KIDS AROUND THE WORLD

  • Pray for missionary children, that God will help provide for their spiritual, academic, and material needs, so that they will grow up to be Gods Vessels of Honoring.

WEEK FOUR: FOCUS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS
“And he entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.” Acts 19:8

SUNDAY 20TH
CROSS BORDERS CRITICAL NEED

  • EMS is still trusting God for the sum of about N854M that is urgently needed for various critical Cross Borders Projects. Let’s not relent in praying for this need.

MONDAY 21ST

  • Pray that God will raise a harvest work force of missionaries that have a genuine calling for cross Border Work. Pray for the breaking forth of revival on our Cross Borders Fields.

TUESDAY 22TH
BURKINA FASO

  • ECWA 1 Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso is in dire need of a worship place outside the house they are using, pray for God to provide 300, 000F (N249, 000) for the construction of a Church batcher.
  • Considering the growth of the Ministry in Burkina Faso mission fields, there is an urgent need to engage at least 3 Nationals for the progress of the work. Do pray for God’s provision towards meeting this pressing need.

WEDNESDAY 23RD
ECWA KENYA

  • Pray that God will send workers to help plant churches in areas identified for church planting in Kenya.

THURSDAY 24TH
ECWA CHAD REPUBLIC

  • Let’s keep praying for the forty-nine (49) Chadians Missionaries working in Chad Republic, with quite a number of ECWA Churches planted. Ask the Lord to grant wisdom to ECWA leadership in CHAD REPUBLIC.

FRIDAY 25TH
ECWA MALI

We give God the glory for successfully hosting of a team of short-term missionaries from Ghana and the Gambia for about a month with great impact to the body of Christ in Mali.

  • Praise God for the release of some inmates our missionaries Rev. & Mrs. Amah are reaching out to with the gospel in Mali prisons, and the testimonies of a changed life we are receiving.
  • Keep praying for our support base as it concerns the progress of the work in the ECWA Mali permanent site in Koubala Coura, Baguineda Mali. Pray for God’s provision for the last payment (N2.5m from EMS International Headquarters) to officially roundup the first phrase of the project of ECWA Mali Headquarter.
  • Pray for the Amahs as they are rapidly winding down into a humanitarian crisis, trusting God for 5,000 bags of grains project provision among the 21 Dogan and Fulani villages (no enough rains and the communal crisis had stop many from going to their farms last year; and it is happening now again).

SATURDAY 26TH
ECWA MALAWI

  • Thank God for a safe flight to Rev. & Mrs. John Mammon from Malawi to Nigeria.
  • Thank God for a successful annual general conference held in ECWA Malawi.
  • Thank God for divine intervention upon the health of Mrs. John Mammon who had being struggling with her health. Pray for complete healing for her in Jesus Mighty name.
  • Pray for both spiritual and numerical growth ECWA Malawi.
  • Pray for God’s divine provision as the mammon are in Nigeria to raise support for their ministry in Malawi.

SUNDAY 27TH
ECWA NIGER REPUBLIC

  • Praise God for His grace that has been keeping Rev. & Mrs. John Gado in Niamey, Niger Republic; Pray for God’s healing upon the life of Mrs. John Gado who is presently in Jos, Nigeria for treatment. Pray for perfect healing upon her in Jesus Mighty name.
  • Praise God for the safety he granted a team from Miango, Jos who visited the Gados in Niamey, Niger Republic. It was indeed awesome and fruitful.
  • Praise God for saving Issa Harouna who accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior and many who came for prayers and are willing to know and hear more of the gospel.
  • Pray for God to keep Amina Harouna safe, she is a new convert who was send to the Gados from a village called Afole in Dogon Dutchi Niger Republic.
  • Pray for the skill acquisition program the Gados are embarking upon for God’s provision and more equipment, and the orphanage.
  • Presently they have two converts (Amina Harouna and lawali), which they are taking their responsibility to disciple them including their feeding, staying with them.

MONDAY 28TH
ECWA ZAMBIA

  • Praise God for raising volunteers who are helping our missionary couple, the Kuzasuwat in the mission work in Zambia though it’s not easy dealing with them; ask for more of God’s grace and wisdom for the missionary.
  • Praise God for ECWA church Mufurila, Zambia women fellowship for a successful hosting of about four different fellowship groups from other denominations.
  • Pray for the two important events coming up in ECWA Zambia before the end of the year, conference of our mission stations and the youth’s musical concert.
  • Pray for both the spiritual and physical growth of all ECWA churches in Zambia.

TUESDAY 29TH
THE GAMBIA

  • Praise God for answered prayed for the provision which has enabled the commencement of the church buildings we have been trusting God for in the Gambia. Pray that this provision will be sustained to enable the building project be completed soonest.

WEDNESDAY 30TH
ECWA TOGO

  • Let’s keep Praying for God’s providence for EMS of ECWA Togo field to be able to acquire church lands in these mission fields: Zanguera N 7.5m, Notes N3m, Pagouda N400, 000, University N20m these places are main towns that are in dire need the gospel.
  • Pray for God’s provision towards the purchase of at least 5 motorcycles for missionaries that are working in the interiors for the progress of mission work.
  • Let’s keep Praying for God to provide money to acquire a land for ECWA Togo headquarters. Two hackers of land for ECWA HEADQUARTERS OF TOGO OFFICE will cost about five million naira only (N5,000,000.00) in Sokode.

THURSDAY 31TH
ECWA BENIN REPUBLIC

  • Praise God for the progress of the ministry work under the supervision of our missionary Rev. & Mrs. Sodji in Cotonou, Benin Republic, people are responding positively to their witnessing to the glory of God.
  • Praise God for the success of the first wedding in ECWA in Cotonou Church, Benin Republic. Ask that this new home be established in righteousness with more of God’s increasing Blessings.
  • Pray for the success of the forthcoming official inauguration of ECWA Benin Republic. Pray for God to touch the hearts of many people from Nigeria to attend the inauguration ceremony of ECWA Benin Republic.

Rev. Simon Yako is the EMS of ECWA Director. Rev. and Mrs. Simon Yako were the first couple to be sent to Togo, both graduates of Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS). They both started work with EMS of ECWA as volunteer workers in 1985, and were formally engaged as EMS Missionaries three years later on July 6th 1988. On their initial engagement, they were sent to a home Mission in Ibil, Cross Rivers State in Nigeria.
