WEEK ONE – FOCUS IS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING
FROM HOME AND CROSS-BOARDER MISSION FIELDS

Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits Psalm 103: 1-3 (NIV)

TUESDAY 1ST
Appreciate the Lord for sustaining us through the month of August and ushering us into the new month of September. The Lord has been gracious to us; he provides for all our needs according to his riches in glory may his name be praised always.

WEDNESDAY 2ND
Praise the Lord for his continuous blessings, ECWA Goodnews Kumo Choir purchased a new motorcycle for one of our missionaries and a grinding machine for another. Ask the Lord to bless them richly and open more doors for them as they support the work of missions to the glory of his name.

THURSDAY 3RD
A supporter who happens to be a widow has donated 10 grinding machines to our missionaries in Kwali DCC, praise the Lord for this wonderful gift, ask him to bless her and open more doors for her. Praise God for answered prayers, the water project in EMS Children School Jos, undertaken by TASTE has been completed and is awaiting commissioning as soon the school reopens fully.

FRIDAY 4TH
Thank God for open doors, a church land has been purchased for ECWA Yaounde in Cameroon, pray that the purchase of the land will bolster the efforts of EMS to reach the nook and crannies of the country with the gospel. Appreciate God for the progress of the theological school in Togo, two hectares of land have been acquired as a permanent site for the school.

SATURDAY 5TH
Praise God for the opportunities he is giving pastor Simon Ribina to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ with Muslim friends who come to visit him during celebrations and request to watch Jesus films. Pray that as he interacts with them, the Lord will open their hearts to receive him as their Lord and personal savior.

SUNDAY 6TH
Praise the Lord for the opportunity for Rev. John Mamman to solemnize the first ever! ECWA wedding in Malawi and for healing granted to his wife who was down due to ill-health. Ask the Lord to bless and expand their ministry Malawi.

MONDAY 7TH
Appreciate God for the success of the trauma healing seminar for missionary couples and their children who were affected by crises in their mission field stations across the country organized by the EMS Training Unit. They were full of testimonies of how the seminar helped them to heal from their traumatic experiences. Glory be to God.

THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WEEK TWO – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
EMS MANAGEMENT: Pray for the management of EMS of ECWA, for more wisdom, grace and good health from the Lord as they take important decisions and lead the organization to fulfill the divine mandate of the Great Commission of propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ for the salvation of all.

WEDNESDAY 9TH
EMS SCHOOLS: Pray for wisdom and good health to final year students and pupils of Primary 6 and JSS 3 from the three EMS Children schools of Jos, Kufana and Lakweme who have resumed classes in Jos, in preparation for their final examinations after being out of school since March.

THURSDAY 10TH
NORTH EAST REGION: Our missionary, pastor Ibrahim Adamu’s station at Kautikari in Borno DCC was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents who burned down houses and destroyed property. Pray for God’s continuous protection for all our missionaries serving in hostile territories in the region. Pray for comfort from God to some of our missionaries and their families who have been bereaved of their loved ones as well as the family of one of our committed supporter in Tangale DCC.

FRIDAY 11TH
CENTRAL REGION: Thank God for the 20 new converts recorded in Garki DCC, ask the Lord to uphold and strengthen their resolve as they begin the journey of faith in Christ. Praise the Lord for for his provision, a plot of land has been bought for Okada Prayer House in Edo/Delta DCC. To God be the glory. Many of our missionaries and some of our supporters in this region are suffering from various health challenges, ask the Lord to stretch forth his healing hands upon them and heal them through his mighty power.

SATURDAY 12TH
NORTH CENTRAL REGION: Praise the Lord for using the family of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gimba from Jos to buy the house that our missionary at Jing Prayer House in Mangu DCC was living in for EMS. Their intervention came in the nick of time because the landlord was planning to evict the missionary from the house, under the pretext of wanting to selling it off. Pray for open doors and financial support for our missionaries to enable them purchase lands to build new churches upon.

SUNDAY 13TH
FAR NORTH WEST: Pray for open doors for funds to roof three prayer houses that were built recently. There are needs of more motorcycles for missionaries in this region for effective ministry, ask the Lord for open doors for these needs to be met. Pray that the Lord will raise more people who will support the work of missions in the region.

MONDAY 14TH
SOUTH EAST REGION: Pray God’s grace and wisdom to the new EMS Coordinator of Enugu DCC as he steps into his new responsibilities that the Lord will lead him to do his will. Most of the facilities used in mission stations in the region are rented, pray that God will provide the funds needed to acquire lands and other properties to build churches on for the advancement of his kingdom.

WEEK THREE – FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
Hear my prayer, Lord; let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly. Psalm 102: 1-3 (NIV)

TUESDAY 8TH

TUESDAY 15TH
MID CENTRAL REGION: We thank God for the opportunity to serve him even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and the constant attacks by the Fulani which engulfed most parts of the region. Pray for God’s protection upon our people from attacks by these violent militias. Many people have fled their homes and many churches are virtually empty. Pray that God will intervene and deliver his people.

WEDNESDAY 16TH
EMS MEDICAL UNIT: Thank the Lord for two new staff that have been added to workforce of the medical unit, Mr. Monday Bulus and Mr. Yohanna Matthew. Ask the Lord to give them more grace and wisdom and they as they prepare to settle down in their new places of assignment. Pray for the staff that have been transferred to various EMS Clinics across nation as a result of reshuffling. Ask the Lord to give them grace and good health as they undertake their responsibilities.

THURSDAY 17TH
MID EAST REGION: Praise the Lord for 43 new converts recorded in the Mid-East Region, to God be the glory. Ask the Lord to uphold and strengthen their faith in him through Jesus Christ. Pray for Ungwan Audi Prayer House in Keffi DCC, the Fulani attacked the community killing one person and leaving several others injured. Many residents have fled their houses. Pray for peace and normalcy to return to the area as well as other communities within the region facing threats of attacks by violent militias.

FRIDAY 18TH
SOUTH NORTH EAST: Pray for our missionaries in this region serving in crises areas especially Wukari and Donga areas in Taraba DCC, some could not raise crops this year due to constant threat of being attacked. Ask the Lord to provide for all their needs through Jesus Christ. Pray for healing to the wife of our missionary in Shongom DCC, pastor Ishaku K. Lawan who sustained a fracture on her leg in an accident.

SATURDAY 19TH
SOUTH WEST REGION: Thank God for his divine intervention on the regional coordinators family that suffered from Tyhoid and Malaria cases. Pray for total healing for pastors Abdullahi Bello and Emmanuel Musa Aruku’s wives who are currently suffering from ill-health. Pray that the DCCs in the region will see the need to support EMS and permit EMS to create awareness about the work of missions in the region.

SUNDAY 20TH
FAR NORTH REGION: Pray for God’s intervention in the Kano DCC crisis, ask the Lord to touch the hearts of all those involved and lead them to do his will. They have gone without salaries for six months pray for open doors for them. Ask the Lord to restore peace and security in Katsina state especially Dankwando, Bauraji and Kankara areas that have suffered attacks from armed bandits.

MONDAY 21ST
NORTH WEST REGION: Praise the Lord the EMS office delivered 18 matrasses and five bags of grains to the missionaries that lost their properties during the attack by Fulani Militia in Kasuwan Magani. Ask the Lord to continue to open more doors for EMS office to continue supporting her missionaries as they serve in the Lord’s vineyard.

WEEK FOUR: FOCUS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS
I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the gentiles. Isaiah 42:6 (NIV).

TUESDAY 22ND
CROSS BORDERS CRITICAL NEEDS: We are still trusting God for the sum of N854M that is urgently
needed for various critical Cross Borders Projects. Let’s not relent in praying that God will open doors to raise the funds that will meet these needs.

WEDESDAY 23RD
FNIGER REPUBLIC: Pray for God’s protection upon two of our missionaries, pastor Ali Musa and pastor Samaila Hamidou their stations are red zones where terrorist, bandits and kidnappers operate. Ask the Lord to continually shield them and their families from all harm as they serve in these extremely dangerous territories.

THURSDAY 24TH
BENIN REPUBLIC: Pray for open doors for the engagement of two nationals of Benin Republic as missionaries in order to boost the efforts of EMS to spread the gospel in the country. Their presence will bolster the advancement of God’s kingdom in the country.

FRIDAY 25TH
TOGO: Pray that God will provide EMS of ECWA Togo with a vehicle to facilitate the work of missions in the country. This need has become increasingly obvious, ask the Lord to open doors and touch heart towards meeting this urgent and very important need.

SATURDAY 26TH
CAMEROON: Pray for God’s divine protection upon the life of EMS missionaries in Cameroon who are serving in hostile locations. The church members are already making plans towards the church building project, ask the Lord to open doors for funds needed for the realization of this objective.

SUNDAY 27TH
GHANA: Pray for the growth of the seed (word of God) sown in the lives of many Muslim youths, whom the Ribinas have been reaching out to in their local dialect (Dagbani), that they will have a personal encounter with Christ and come to accept him as their personal Lord and savior. Pray for boldness on the parts of the parts of the new converts (Muslims) to be able to defend their new faith in Christ and stand strong even in the midst of difficulty.

MONDAY 28TH
MALAWI: A new prayer house has been started within Blantyre in Malawi, pray that the church will grow in strength and in numbers to the glory of God’s name. Pray for funds for the Mammans to acquire white boards, to teach literacy classes to adults and children as well. This will cost 160,00 Kwacha, which is equivalent to N80,000.

TUESDAY 29TH
Praise God for; his healing upon Mrs. Mutunga who had been ill for some time, for the progress of missions in Kenya and for adding new members to ECWA Kenya church to him be all the glory. Pray for divine favor for the Mutugas as they approach the landlord of the ECWA Kenya School to grant them permission to use one of the classes in the school for church services.

WEDNESDAY 30TH
GAMBIA: Thank God for opening Usman up to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ when pastor Pallyon’top Johnjames engaged him through sharing the message of salvation. Pray for the commitment of our missionaries in the Gambia as most of them are not spiritually mature or committed, ask the Lord to cause them to rededicate themselves to the ministry through his mighty power.

Rev. Simon Yako is the EMS of ECWA Director. Rev. and Mrs. Simon Yako were the first couple to be sent to Togo, both graduates of Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS). They both started work with EMS of ECWA as volunteer workers in 1985, and were formally engaged as EMS Missionaries three years later on July 6th 1988. On their initial engagement, they were sent to a home Mission in Ibil, Cross Rivers State in Nigeria.
