But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Luke 12:31

Seeking Me or God?

Jesus Christ (as seen in the earlier verses of this chapter) challenged our lack of faith in God that has resulted in anxiety and unnecessary stress in our lives. God is aware of the needs we have and, He has already made provision for us but somehow, we do not trust Him. Back in Genesis 1, God created all that man will ever need to live on earth before bringing man into the scene to manage and enjoy all of it.

The fall changed how creation responds to man, but it did not take away God’s provision. God reminds us how He beautifully clothes the flowers and provide food for the birds. He assured us that we are more valuable than the flowers and the birds; so, He will provide for us. God’s will is that we seek Him with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength and in return He will provide all our needs. Sadly, we do not trust God enough to take Him at His Word. Our strategy is that God should give us up front all we need and then we will trust Him and seek His face.

God has given us all things as stated in Genesis 1 and Luke 12:32 “Do not be afraid … your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.” Let us trade places with God and it will be a win – win for all. How? We do what God wants us to do – SEEK HIM and He does what we want Him to do for us – PROVIDE ALL OUR NEEDS.
