WEEK ONE
FOCUS IS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING FROM HOME AND CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS
I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. Psalm 118:19(NIV)

TUESDAY 1ST
Appreciate the Lord for his goodness and mercies upon us. He has graciously ushered us into the month of December the last month of the year 2020. May his be praised and exalted.

WEDNESDAY 2ND
Thank God for the donation of the ₦400,000 by the ECWA International Women Fellowship for the purchase of a church land at Guelendeng. The land has been purchased. To God be the glory.

THURSDAY 3RD
Praise the Lord for his provision, Gombe DCC has donated a motor vehicle for missions to the EMS coordinator of the DCC. Thank God for one more additional supporter from the same DCC.
Praise God for a new additional EMS supporter, Mrs. Alheri Jospeh from Good News Dutse, who has pledged the support of one missionary. Ask God to bless her abundantly.

SATURDAY 5TH
Thank God for more support to EMS, Kagoma DCC Men’s Fellowship has been added to the list of EMS supporters in the region. They have pledged a ₦60,000 annual support to EMS praise God!

SUNDAY 6TH
Praise God for the ministry of the Lees who are at home in South Korea presently, but even from their, they have continued to relentlessly support the work of EMS in the North Central Region of EMS. They sent in assistance for the reconstruction of collapsed churches/pastoruims they have also supported missionaries who’s farmlands were destroyed in the North Central Region. May God bless and increase them.

WEEK THREE
FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS
Lord, the Lord Almighty, may those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me; God of Israel, may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me. Psalm 69:6 (NIV)

EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY
FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS TO BE OBSERVED INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS PRAYER AND FASTING DAY. THEREFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR:

  • A STEADY AND FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE WORK OF MISSIONS,
  • PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS,
  • FOR REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH.

OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE IS 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 3-4 PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED BY GOD. PLEASE, ENDEAVORE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.

MONDAY 7TH
Praise God for the take-off of the Kabwe mission field that was abandoned three years ago. Pray that God will uphold the field to grow from strength to strength the glory and honor of his name.

TUESDAY 8TH
EMS MANAGEMENT Appreciate the Lord for the grace he granted to the EMS Management the Lord has empowered them to steer the organization in the right direction despite the enormous challenges
posed by the year 2020. Ask the Lord to give them more wisdom and lead them towards his will always.

WEDNESDAY 9TH
NORTH CENTRAL REGION Praise God for his intervention, the support for EMS in Mangu DCC has increased dramatically. Pray that God will bless the leadership, pastors and all friends and supporters of the DCC abundantly.

THURSDAY 10TH
EMS SCHOOLS Appreciate the Lord for his provision, the women fellowships of Jos DCC, Dadin Kowa LCC, Rantya LCB, ECWA Seminary Church Jos as well as some individuals donated items and cash to the school in Jos and Kufana. Pray that God will bless them abundantly.

FRIDAY 11TH
EMS SUPPORTERS/PARTNERS Ask God to bless our numerous SUPPORTERS/PARTNERS in the work
reaching out to the nations in of the downturn of the economy. Ask the Lord to shower his blessings upon them.

SATURDAY 12TH
EMS STAFF Pray for the entire staff of EMS of ECWA, ask the Lord to safeguard their lives and meet each and everyone of them at the point of their needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

SUNDAY 13TH
NORTH WEST REGION Pray for God’s protection to our missionaries in the region that has now become a dangerous place due to activities of kidnappers.
Some of our supporters in the region are struggling to meet their obligations, ask the Lord to bless and open doors and meet their needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

WEEK THREE
FOCUS IS ON EMS HOME MISSION FIELDS Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3(NIV)

MONDAY 14TH
FAR NORTH REGION WEST REGION Ask the Lord to raise more supporters who will support the efforts EMS to advance the message of the gospel in the region to the glory and honour of his name.
There is an urgent need of motorcycles for our missionaries for effective ministry, pray that God will open doors for this important need to me met.

TUESDAY 15TH
MID-CENTRAL REGION Pray for 1,211 people witnessed to, for conviction to make a decision to surrender their lives to Christ. Ask the Lord to uphold the new converts recorded and those who rededicated their lives to him.
Pray for divine healing to some of our missionaries, who are battling with their health and for safety and protection to all our missionaries in the region from all kinds of harm and danger.

WEDNESDAY 16TH
SOUTH NORTH EAST REGION Praise God for answered prayers, a church in Taraba DCC donated ₦106,000 to the EMS field mission school in Falin Makeri to build classrooms. To God be the glory! Ask the Lord to divine healing to some of our missionaries in the region who are battling with various health challenges through his mighty power.

THURSDAY 17TH
FAR NORTH REGION Appreciate God healing the regional coordinator Rev. Mazadu Korau who was down due to ill-health and some of our missionary families as well.
Thank God for providing some materials needed for the building plans in Gagarawa field station, continue to pray that the project will take-off soon.

FRIDAY 18TH
EMS MEDICAL UNIT Pray for our patients in the clinics and at Bingham University Teaching Hospital, for God’s divine healing upon them.
Pray for the success of a seminar planned for the clinic staff which is coming up soon. Pray for safety for the staff and facilitators who will be attending.

SATURDAY 19TH
CENTRAL REGION Praise God for the 11 newc onverts recorded in Garki DCC, and 16 more in Kaffi DCC, ask the Lord to strengthen and uphold them in the faith.
Pray for Abaji DCC they lost a supporter by name Baba Moses Tatari, he was supporting 2 missionaries. Ask the Lord to comfort the family and raise others who will step into the vacuum that he left behind.

SUNDAY 20TH
SOUTH EAST REGION Praise the Lord for the privilege to witness to 690 persons within last month. Praise God for the numerical increase in our mission stations in this region and for the zeal demonstrated by our missionaries to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in the region.

MONDAY 21ST
SOUTH NORTHWEST Pray for EMS station Sabongari Samange where there is no church building or Pastorium presently and for the need for motorcycles for the missionaries in Fadan Kagoma DCC for effective ministry. Ask the Lord to open doors for these crucial needs to be met in Jesus name.

TUESDAY 22ND
NORTH EAST REGION Pray for God’s divine healing on pastor Benjamin Africa and pastor Phineas M. Bature who fractured his leg in an accident recently and other missionaries in the region who are battling with various health challenges.

WEDNESDAY 23RD
SOUTH EAST REGION Pray that the faith of the 86 people that gave their lives to Christ in the region will be strengthened and established firmly in Christ. The land upon which Lokpanta Prayer House was built is seriously contested, ask the Lord to intervene in the situation and that in the end his name will be glorified.

WEEK FOUR
FOCUS ON CROSS-BORDERS MISSION FIELDS In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ear Psalms 18:6

THURSDAY 24TH
CROSS BORDERS CRITICAL NEEDS EMS is still trusting God for the sum of about N854M that is urgently needed for various critical Cross Borders Projects. Ask God to open doors for this funds to be raised
for the consolidation of the work of missions through EMS across borders.

FRIDAY 25TH
KENYA Praise the Lord for his faithfulness and for the progress of EMS in Kenya, there has been an increase in membership to the glory of God.
Pray that God will provide the funds needed for the purchase of church land in Kenya and a school bus for the ECWA Kenya school.

SATURDAY 26TH
CHAD REPUBLIC Praise God for the support of the brethren in Germany who have picked
Togo and Chad Republic for some projects (Motorcycles for the Togo field and boreholes for Chad) pray for
the successful execution of the projects which will greatly impact on the efforts of the ministry of EMS to spread the gospel in these countries.

SUNDAY 27TH
GAMBIA Thank God for a great show of commitment by the membership of ECWA in the Gambia since the reopening of places of worship. Pray for funds needed to purchase furniture for ECWA Academy Old Yudum.
Pray for funds to secure permanent places of worship in Bantayima, Sukuta and Old Yudum in the Gambia.

MONDAY 28TH
CAMEROON Praise God for the progress of the ministry of EMS in the country and for his sustenance and protection to all our missionaries.
Ask the Lord to stretch forth his healing hands upon the EMS coordinator Rev. Moise Batein who is suffering from pile and will need to undergo surgery.

TUESDAY 29TH
MALAWI Thank God for the success of the seminar organized by ECWA Malawi through the support of Fellowship Bible Church USA who paid the bills of the seminar.
Pray for the church in Midima turn off, Malawi as they continue to trust God to settle payments for the land
the church is using presently.

WEDNESDAY 30TH
GHANA Thank God for the improvement in the Gainues health, they came to the fellowship trusting God for healing from an ailment and God demonstrated his power to heal them.
Young church is presently worshipping under a tree, ask the Lord open doors for them to be able to secure a good shelter for meetings and worship.

THURSDAY 31ST
NIGER REPUBLICPray for the mission fields in Niger Republic particularly Niameyand Tillabery where there are urgent needs for more missionaries and more support and encouragement to the missionaries on ground to make their work more fruitful.

Thank you for praying with us through the year 2020 may the lord bless you richly and increase your faith in Jesus name, please let us continue to pray for a blessed New Year 2021.

Rev. Simon Yako is the EMS of ECWA Director. Rev. and Mrs. Simon Yako were the first couple to be sent to Togo, both graduates of Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS). They both started work with EMS of ECWA as volunteer workers in 1985, and were formally engaged as EMS Missionaries three years later on July 6th 1988. On their initial engagement, they were sent to a home Mission in Ibil, Cross Rivers State in Nigeria.
