WEEK ONE-FOCUS ON PRAISE/THANKSGIVING FROM HOME/FOREIGN MISSION FIELDS
“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens”. Ps 68:19.NIV
 
WEDNESDAY 1ST
Praise God for delivering Rev. Yahaya Bungule (The Far North EMS Regional Coordinator) and our missionary family of five (5) on transfer from a ghastly car accident along Kano – Gombe road to the North East Region of Nigeria. To God be the glory there was no loss of life, nor serious injury. However, let us not relent in praying for safety for all our missionaries who are on transfer to new mission stations.
 
THURSDAY 2ND
Praise God for the safe delivery of Pastor Christopher Simon’s wife, our EMS missionary who is serving in the Far North Region of Nigeria. They were blessed with a baby girl.
 
FRIDAY 3RD
Praise God for the successful weaning of the first EMS station to a local church in Bore DCC in the North East Region of Nigeria. Ask the Lord to sustain and help it to grow to be a missionary sending church.
 
SATURDAY 4TH
Praise God for granting admission to one of our orphans at the EMS “House of Hope” Center in Lafia to study medicine at the University of Jos. Ask the Lord to provide all the money for the funding of the program.
WEEK TWO: FOCUS ON EMS ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND HOME MISSION FIELDS
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. — Colossians 4:2–3 (NIV)
SUNDAY 5TH
Pray for God’s wisdom and spiritual understanding for the leadership of EMS as they pilot the affairs of the ministry this month. Pray that each missionary and EMS staff would have enough strength to do the will of God, so that the whole body will be healthy and grow in God’s love.(Ephesians 4:16).

By the Grace of God WE OBSERVED EVERY FIRST (1ST) MONDAY OF THE MONTH NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AS EMS DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING. THERERFORE, ALL EMS ARMS, MISSIONARIES, OFFICE STAFF, PRAYER PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS SHOULD PLEASE ENDEAVOR TO JOIN THE EMS INTERNATIONAL HEAD OFFICE IN PRAYERS. AS WE JOIN FAITH AND TRUST GOD IN ONE ACCORD WITH BRETHREN AROUND THE WORLD FOR A STEADY AND A FRUITFUL GROWTH OF THE MINISTRY, PEACE AND THE SALVATION OF NATIONS, FOR REVIVAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE CHURCH. OUR COOPERATE PRAYER TIME AT THE HEAD OFFICE, IS 8-9AM, 12-1PM, AND 3-4PM RESPECTIVELY. YOU CAN JOIN US IN PRAYERS WHEREVER YOU MAY BE AT THOSE TIMES OR MAKE OUT TIME OF YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE AS YOU ARE LED TO BY GOD. PLEASE, JUST BE SURE TO PRAY ALONG AS YOU FAST.
 
MONDAY 6TH
MID CENTRAL REGION-KAGORO: Past. & Mrs. Umar Shehu, our EMS new missionary to the Mid Central Region was attacked by some unknown armed men with his Church members, a day after he reported at the mission field. Ask the Lord to grant them trauma healing, also to protect them from further attacks by the terrorist.
 
TUESDAY 7TH
MID EAST REGION-LAFIA: Pray for Kunduwa village to be delivered from bondage of ignorance and the spirit of drunkenness. Pray for God’s healing over many people who are sick; also pray for the salvation of many youth and children that are dying in sin. Ask God to raise Christian youths for the work of mission for the salvation of many souls to Christ, especially in this community. Finally, Pray for Chinjire village in the same region where there is a large number of people who are still practicing idolatry to hear the Gospel.
 
WEDNESDAY 8TH
SOUTH EAST REGION-UMUAHIA: Pray for God’s comfort for the family of Pastor John Eke, our EMS missionary at Nnobi mission station who lost their two months old son.
 
THURSDAY 9TH
FAR NORTH REGION-MALUMFASHI: Ask the Lord to intervene over the two Church buildings that were demolished in Jigawa State of Nigeria by the state government, for God’s comfort for the members and continues protection over the lives and properties of believers in the Far North Region of Nigeria.
 
FRIDAY 10TH
SOUTH NORTH EAST REGION-TARABA: A good number of individuals and groups in this Region have indicated interest to support EMS and some have pledged to adopt missionaries this year (2017). Ask the Lord to give them the enablement to respond to their pledges.
 
SATURDAY  11TH
CENTRAL REGION-ABUJA: ECWA Good News Church Maitama Minister’s hill has increased her support to pay 100 EMS missionaries. Praise God for his grace upon the lives of the supporters. And pray that they will enjoy God’s providence as they trust in Him not to falter, nor to relent in their support to His work through the EMS of ECWA.
WEEK THREE – FOCUS ON OTHER EMS MISSION ARMS
SUNDAY  12TH
EMS “ISHMAEL” EVANGELISM UNIT: Praise God for the significant number of people that are coming to Christ from Islam in this century and pray that God will continue to increase it day by day. Please continue to,
  • Pray for those who have decided to follow Jesus that they will increase in peace, joyandrighteousnessastheyfollowHimeveryday.Also,praythattheymaygrow in unity, to encourage one another in fellowship, love and also to be lights to others.
  • Pray for God to help the Christians Nigeria to resist the temptation of exchanging hatred for hatred, and hostility forhostility.
MONDAY 13TH
EMS MEDICAL UNIT: Praise God for Isa and Nura, for their new faith in Christ through the ministry of our EMS Mission Field Clinic. Ask the Lord to help them grow in the knowledge of His will.
  • Ask God to give our EMS medical personals the wisdom, patience, and understanding to minster to the sick through their words andtouch.
TUESDAY 14TH
EMS CHILDREN AND FIELD MISSION SCHOOLS:  Satan, as the “god of
this world,” using the influence of culture and tradition to draw away many people from the Lord.
  • Pray that EMS missionary teachers will be prepared to teach and provide strong biblical spiritual guidance to the pupils and students under theircare.
  • Also pray that the Missionary Kids (MKs) will learn early to exercise their authorityaschildrenofGodtoresisttheattacksoftheenemy,tochoosethetruth of God’s word as their defense against the deceptions of Satan, to submit to God and to resist the appeal of the world that opens the door to the activity of evil spirits, so that they can resist the temptation of dabbling into culticactivities.
WEDNESDAY 15TH
EMS MISSIONARY DRIVERS
  • Pray that God will protect our EMS driver from the hands of the evil men on the way as travel from one place to other in our various Region ofoperations.
  • Pray that God will continue to protect from all kind ofaccidents.
  • Pray that God will renew their strength everyday.
THURSDAY 16TH
EMS SECURITY PERSONNALS: Ask the Lord to keep the security personals safe at all times. Also pray that God will help them to be very sensitive as we are face with security challenges in the country.
 
FRIDAY 17TH
EMS SPORT MINISTRY: The need to have a landed property for School of Sports ministry Academy International in Nigeria has become very obvious. Ask the Lord to make this a reality as it will provide a conducive place for rehabilitation and discipleship of new converts made through Sports Ministry.
 
SATURDAY 18TH
EMS CITY MINISTRIES: Praise God for ministering to an “unbelieving” Moslem teenage girl who was sent away by her parents for getting pregnant out of wedlock. Praise God for showing her mercy that she has now gave birth safely without any complications.  Thank God that she is now a Christian.
  • Pray for a rightful and most needy family who will adopt the baby.
  • Also ask the Lord to raise more helpers and supporters for EMS City Ministries.
WEEK FOUR: FOCUS ON CROSS BOARDERS MISSION FIELDS
"I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” Luke 4:43-44 NIV
SUNDAY 19TH
EMS/ECWA BURKINA FASO MISSION FIELD
  • Praise God for the provision to meet some of our Missionaries’ needs in Burkina Faso such as Motorcycle,school fees for'Estherand Fatas' and for food stuffs for the Missionaries and the needy Church Members.
  • Pray for God to provide a worship place for ECWA Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
  • Pray for God's provision towards the employment of two or three national volunteers' evangelists in Burkina Faso.
MONDAY 20TH
EMS/ECWA ZAMBIA MISSION FIELD
  • Pray for the two volunteers that have given themselves to serve as Church Planters that God would use them for His glory.
  • Pray that God would open a way of funding their ministry by raising supporters.
 
TUESDAY 21ST
EMS/ECWA MALAWI MISSION FIELD
  • Pray for the Church in Malawi to experience growth, revival, and commitment as they give themselves to be used by the Lord
  • Pray for the provision of a laptop, and funds to finish the water project in the church, and school fees for the missionary’s children in 2017 academic programs.
WEDNESDAY 22ND
EMS/ECWA MALI MISSION FIELD: Thank God for answered prayers, as the Director of the Bolle Famme prison had consented to Pastor & Mrs. Amah’s request to visit the Prisons and pray with the prisoners and also disciple them, beginning with the Nigerian girls in the prison who gave her life to Christ.
  • Pray for God's provision to develop the new site of ECWA Bamako, Mali Church land.
  • Pray that this year, ECWA Bamako, Mali will be favored by the Lord with the completion of the Churchregistration.
  • Pray for Pastor & Mrs. Amah that whenever they open their mouths to preach the gospel the Lord will give them thepower.
THURSDAY 23RD
EMS/ECWA TOGO MISSION FIELD
  • Pray for God to provide support of Bore-hole for both Tota Village and Kedjida Cope Villages which amounts to N150, 000 nairaeach.
  • Pray for God's provision for us to be able to build the mission Church in Kaboli, building cost (N2,000,000.00).
  • Pray for God to provide at least 5 motorcycles for the missionaries that are working in the interior parts of Togo to enable them workeffectively.
FRIDAY 24TH
EMS/ECWA NIGER REPUBLIC MISSION FIELD
  • Thank God for the successful planting of ECWA Birnin Konni Prayer House. Pray for the spiritual and numeric growth of this baby church. Also pray that as the Tanimus (the missionary) trust God for a volunteer missionary that will help Sgt Issoufou Aboubaccar, and his Wife Nana, in this new church, God’s favor will be granted to them and those God will bring into thechurch.
SATURDAY 25TH
EMS/ECWA GHANA MISSION FIELD
  • We praise God for the growth of the work in Ghana. Pray against lukewarm attitude of the members and ask God to increase theircommitment.
  • Pray for the plans to start a Mission Field School in Zenu for God's favor and provisions of funds and other educationalmaterials.
WEEK FIVE: FOCUS ON CHRISTIAN REVIVAL, HOMES, AND MISSION AGENCIES.

SUNDAY 26TH
CHRISTIAN RIVIVAL
  • Pray that the church will revive his church in crooked and perverse generation. (Philippians3:12).
  • Pray that God will give His Church a complete understanding of what He (God) wants to do in each person’s life, and that He should make each person wisewith spiritual understanding. (Colossians1:9).
  • Pray that the church “would not be led astray by empty philosophy that comes fromhumanthinkingandfromtheevilpowersofthisworldandnotfromChrist.” (Colossians2:8).
MONDAY 27TH
CHRISTIAN HOMES: Ask the Lord to, please shine His light upon our families. Give us strength to overcome all of the difficulties that we may be dealing with now and protect us against any and all problems we may encounter in the future.
  • Also pray that He brings us (Parents & children) together as we are meant to be. May the love that binds us only grow stronger as we fulfill the destiny he has laid out forus.
TUESDAY 28TH
MISSION AGENCIES: Pray for the spiritual development, strength, open doors and growth of churches, organizations and individual partners, of mission agencies; the likes of EMS, SIM, NEMA, GCMN, CAPRO and others within our network.
  • Pray that EMS missionaries and all missionaries working with other mission agencies will be led by the Holy Spirit in recognizing open-door opportunities.
