Specific Prayer Request:

  • That Divine Intervention Expose the Truth!

US Based, recently arrived Nigerian Human Rights Defender Attorney, ’Lanre O. Amu sued the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, the Board of Studies of the Nigerian Law School, and the Council of Legal Education, alleging violation of his Constitutional right to a Fair Hearing, and abuse of discretion regarding the denial of his admission to the Nigerian Law School.

On September 15, 2015, Amu petitioned the Chairman of the Council of Legal Education, Chief O. C. J. Okocha and made recommendations for reform at the Nigerian Law School. Chief O. C. J. Okocha refused to respond, as he promised, to Amu’s petition.

He requested information from the Council through its Chairman, pursuant to the Nigerian Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Dead silence. No response, and no acknowledgment from the Council.

The Human Right Defender filed two lawsuits concerning this matter at the Federal High Court in Abuja on December 29, 2015. The first lawsuit concerns the Freedom of Information Act. FHC/ABJ/CS/1062/2015. The second lawsuit concerns the denial of admission. FHC/ABJ/CS/1063/2015.

Amu has amended the lawsuits to add as additional defendants, the Attorney General of the Federation and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who have supervisory roles over the government agency being sued.

In the latest news, Amu's rights have been restricted and cannot access the Courtroom all this been attributed to the fact that Amu Strife to Expose Wrongdoing that has Serious Implication for National Development in the Nigerian Law School.
